Yes! In Florida, consumers who are 18 years or older can legally purchase and use fireworks. Recent updates to Florida law officially designated three days a year when fireworks can be legally set off by the public: the 4th of July, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day.
What is the difference between an aerial shell and a repeater (cake)?
Aerial shells (like artillery shells) are individually loaded into a tube and fired one at a time for a massive, high-altitude explosion. Repeaters, also known as "cakes," are pre-fused multi-shot fireworks. You light a cake once, and it shoots multiple effects into the sky automatically, acting like a mini fireworks show in a single box!
How old do you have to be to buy fireworks in Florida?
You must be at least 18 years old to purchase consumer fireworks at our Avon Park location. Please remember to bring a valid state-issued photo ID when you visit our tent.
