Safety Tips
1. Never hold any firework in your hand, except sparklers.
2. Brace aerial fireworks properly before using them so they cannot tip over.
3. Make sure aerial fireworks are placed upright and facing away from people and structures.
4. Use a flat, stable surface when placing fireworks on the ground.
5. Identify the correct fuse before lighting.
6. Light one firework at a time.
7. Keep your body and face away from the fuse when lighting and move away immediately.
8. Never lean over a firework when igniting it.
9. Do not relight a firework that fails to ignite.
10. Soak used or unused fireworks in water before disposal.
11. Never place fireworks on soft ground, sand, grass, or uneven surfaces where they can shift during ignition.
12. Keep spectators behind the firework and never in the direction the firework is designed to fire.
13. Be aware of wind direction and do not ignite fireworks if wind could carry effects toward people, buildings, or vehicles.
14. Do not ignite fireworks near overhead obstructions such as power lines, tree branches, or awnings.
15. Keep unused fireworks a safe distance away from the ignition area while lighting other fireworks.
16. Do not kneel or sit while lighting fireworks; remain standing so you can move away quickly.
17. Never attempt to catch, grab, or stop a firework that tips over or behaves unexpectedly.
18. Keep pets and animals indoors and away from the ignition area before lighting fireworks.
19. Allow enough time between fireworks so smoke and debris clear before lighting the next device.
